The CVF: Demystified
I encounter many police promotion candidates confused by the Competency & Values Framework (CVF). Whether baffled by the behaviours or dumbfounded at the descriptors, it does not bode well for preparation for Sergeant, Inspector, and Chief Inspector promotion boards. While the College have recently slightly amended the CVF in May 2024, forces will be using the existing CVF for upcoming processes. Either way, the concepts explained remain the same and can be applied whatever framework is in place.
